What the numbers say
Teams
Each sales manager runs a team of closers and setters. A team's setters book into its own closers' calendars.
Adding a manager copies the last team's shape. Edit each team below.
Pay per person, per year
SetterCloserSales manager
Pay per person per year, by team
Average setter and closer on each team, and the team's manager. Dashed lines: your setter and closer targets ().
Pay per closed deal, by price
One average job. Setter and closer on a setter's appointment, the closer on a company lead, and the manager's override on a team deal.

How the model works
- Sets. Sets a setter books in a peak week = hours × doors per hour × doors-to-set. Sits = sets × sets-that-sit.
- Closer capacity. Slots a week per closer = appointment hours × 60 ÷ (appointment length + buffer). A team's setters book into its own closers' slots; a no-show still uses a slot. Sets beyond the team's slots don't fit.
- Per deal. The pool is (price − the plan's line) × feet. Comp Plan v3: setter and closer split it 50/50; the manager gets $2/ft from WCPL on every team deal; on their own appointments the manager keeps the whole pool at a $23 line (redline − $2). v2 draft: closer line = base + $1.40; setter gets the greater of 35% of the pool or $1.25/ft; $30 sit bonus; team lead $1.00/ft plus $0.40 regional. v1: same line, flat $1.25/ft setter fee.
- Manager's own deals are an input per team (deals a Q4 week), not derived from hours.
- Company leads. Shared across teams by closer count. Booked leads take closer slots before setter appointments. Deals = leads × lead-to-close rate (scaled down if the appointments don't fit). Every lead costs the cost per lead, closed or not. Comp Plan v3: the closer and WCPL split the pool 50/50 and the manager gets $2/ft. v2 draft: the closer's line is $2.50/ft higher. v1: WCPL kept the $1.25/ft setter amount.
- Year. Q4 weekly pay × 13 weeks ÷ the Q4 share.
- WCPL profit per deal. Price × feet + $450 system fee − materials − install labor (the estimator's worst-case installer rate and job minimum, plus the QC bonus) − setter − closer − manager/leadership pay − sit bonuses. − lead spend. Permit and travel pass through. Cancellations and the manager's retention bonus (up to $1,000 per producing recruit) aren't modeled.
